World Book Day 2014

On Thursday 6th March 2014 the whole school celebrated World Book Day.
This is a picture of Mrs Ward's Year 2 class.
We read some of our favourite books and worked on different reading activities.

Y2 This week (10.02.14)

In our Literacy lessons we are reading and writing instructions.

On Monday we made chocolate milkshakes, following a recipe and a set of instructions.
Now we are writing our own set of instructions. This is us making our milkshakes.

In our Science lesson we are learning about animal groups and life cycles.  Mr and Mrs Ashton brought in some cornsnakes and bearded dragons to show us, and explain how they need to be looked after.

 During our Numeracy lessons we have been practising calculations and learning different strategies to help us. We have been working on addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
We often use Numcion, which is great to help us with our maths.




 

BREAD

 

On  the first week of  January we have been making bread in D.T( design and technology )  we made one imense loaf and twenty seven bread buns.
